Project
Nestled on the eastern side of Vancouver Island, Harbourview District is located in the epicentre of Nanaimo’s thriving downtown core.
This master-planned community is slated to offer the best in urban living, embodying sustainability, walkability and beautiful streetscape designs. Just a short stroll from the revitalized Commercial Street and the city’s picturesque Harbourfront Walkway, Harbourview District dwellers get access to a range of independently-owned retail shops, restaurants, and nearby nature.
Over the next five years, Harbourview District will grow to feature seven multi-family projects. Meant to invigorate the south-end neighbourhood, each project has a distinct architectural identity while maintaining a cohesive Harbourview District look and feel.
We were invited by Parkshore Projects to develop the brand identity, effective communication strategy and marketing materials to create a community foundation for each of the projects that will make up this idyllic development.

In developing Harbourview District’s brand story, we wanted to ensure that we understood what drew people to live in urban communities – and what kept them there. This process allowed us to create the community’s vision: connected living in a vibrant community.
This vision is reflected in the brand’s key messaging and copy. It also acts as the community’s foundation, helping to define the quality of life that Harbourview District offers its target demographic. It also speaks to the audience’s core values: emotional connection, a sense of familiarity, and safety around the Harbourview District.
